Ski Big Sky, MT
Ski Big Sky, MT
March 13-17, 2019
We are going big this winter and skiing one of U.S.’s largest resorts, Big Sky - 4 mountains, 5,800 acres, with 4,350 vertical feet.
If adventure calls then Big Sky hollers. Home to some of the biggest skiing in North America, this resort quenches the thirst of the most serious of skiers and has more beginner slopes than any home town resort! Mountains this good should be experience by everyone. Our moderate-priced trip makes that possible for GOATs. LGBTQ skiers and snowboarders will stay off-piste at the super cute River Rock Lodge for four nights and be provided with 3-day lifts, a welcome reception, breakfast each morning, local ground transportation once at the mountain, one prepaid dinner and organized lunches, aprés, and an additional dinner.

Wednesday, Mar 13 | Arrive
On arrival at Big Sky, GOATs will settle into the hotel and join others for a welcome reception at 8:00 pm to meet others, receive tickets, a detailed itinerary, and an overview of the mountain.
Mar 14 - 16 | Ski
Each day will begin, after breakfast, in the lobby to review the day ahead and make any adjustments as needed.
Thursday and Friday, arrival to and from the slopes will be by private charter. We will connect at the base lodge for photos and connect with our skill groups before we head up the mountain. Saturday, GOATs take it at their own pace and use the local bus for a quick (& free!) 15 minute ride to and from the mountain.
We’ll lunch at a new spot each day, including an on-site yurt and outdoor BBQ with a view of the Rockies. Aprés will follow each day of riding.
After exciting days on the mountain(s) and soaking in the hot tub, you’ll be ready for our two organized dinners (Thursday and Saturday night). Our prepaid dinner Saturday will be at the famous BucksT4. Friday night is a "free night" for you to make your own plans and explore the local area with new friends.
Sunday, Mar 17 | Depart
Sunday, our travel day, after grabbing a bite at the hotel’s continental breakfast or at a local brunch spot, GOATs will swap numbers, give hugs and bid each other adieu as they head home.
River Rock Lodge is your charming home away from home. Five miles from the mountain, this hotel, located in the heart of Big Sky and walking distance to shopping and restaurants, is the best kept secret. Shhh! This traditional wooden log mountain lodge has modern, beautifully appointed rooms, a cozy great room, and large outdoor hot tub.

Getting to Bozeman and around Big Sky is super easy. Below are some tips about flights and transportation options to and from the airport:
Flights - Bozeman airport is the nearest and main airport for access to the resort. Several major airlines provide daily flights from all major US cities. Try to book your arrival with enough time to settle into the hotel, maybe grab dinner, and join our 8 PM welcome reception Wednesday night.
To/From the Airport - Big Sky is an hour from the airport. While ground transfers are not included, we recommend Karst Stage, the main airport transfer service. To guarantee a spot on their shuttle book your reservation about two weeks before the trip.
Car Rentals - While not needed once in Big Sky, given the local bus system, electing to have a rental car makes getting to nearby Yellowstone National Park a breeze if you have additional time. Free parking is available at our lodging.
