Climbing on the Ledge
Climbing on the Ledge
Oct 5, 2019
Grab some friends, unplug from it all, and jump on our shuttle this autumn day to learn the fundamentals of outdoor rock climbing, make new friends and have some beer.
We’ve partnered with REI to escape the city for a fall day of outdoor rock climbing at St John’s Ledges. It doesn’t stop there. We are outfitting you with free backpacks from Arc’Teryx and will keep you climbing after the trip with 2 free day passes to Cliffs Climbing Gym.
No matter your skill or experience-level, this hands-on instruction teaches you core outdoor rock climbing techniques within the comfort of fellow LGBTQ friends and allies. You’ll learn belaying, specialized knots, different handholds, proper weight placement and body movements while exploring multiple climbing routes with personalized instruction from REI certified climbing guides.
A long day climbing is rewarded with a visit to a local brewery before we make our way back to nyc.
